Q. Can I adjust order of categories according to aisles in the shop?
A. You can edit and adjust order of categories by following the steps below:
1) Tap "Edit" in the "Choose Products" list.
2) Tap "Categories" button at the bottom. The app opens category list for full-featured editing.
3) Now you can add, edit, delete categories.
4) Now you can adjust order of categories. Tap and hold tripple-line symbol at the very left of category to lift it up, then drag it to desired location. The "Shopping" and "Choose Products" lists will be sorted by this order.
5) When you have finished - tap "Done". The app returns to products list.
6) Tap "Done" again to exit edit mode.
Also note, that at any time you can tap products list header to quick-switch list sorting between category and alphabetical modes.
Q. How can I specify detailed product quantity like 1.5 lbs?
A. Please, tap the number between "+" and "-" buttons to open detailed quantity keyboard.
Q. How to sync data across multiple devices?
A. The app syncs data between your devices automatically. For sync to work, you need iOS 8+ and iCloud enabled in settings:
1) Open Settings app -> tap iCloud section -> tap iCloud Drive -> "iCloud Drive" should be "ON", "Shopping List" should be "ON"
2) Open Settings app -> tap Shopping List section -> iCloud should be "ON".
For older iOS versions, you can send your shopping list from one device to another using the following steps (works in paid version of the app only):
1) On the first device, choose products that you would like to buy on upcoming shopping (or want just to transfer to another device), tap action button -> email and send email to your family member or to yourself.

Q. How to sync data across family members?
A. You can create your family sharing group and iCloud-sync your data not only across your devices, but also across a group of persons. This feature requires iOS 10 for all participating users and devices. To create a family sharing group, please tap button "i", tap "Manage sharing group" and send invitations to your friends or family members.
For older iOS versions you can sync your data between family members using email (works in paid version of the app only):

Q. Can I do shopping using widget?
A. Yes. You need iOS version 10+ and you can do shopping using the app widget. Scroll your iPhone screen to the very left for widget to appear - that works even when the screen is locked. Also, you can hard-press app icon to see the widget (if your iPhone supports 3D touch). If you don't see Shopping List app widget in your widgets screen, please tap "Edit" button at the bottom of the widgets screen and tap "+" (add) near the Shopping List app widget.
You can expand/collapse size of the widget by tapping "Show More" button in top-right corner of the widget. You can open the full app by tapping app icon in top-left corner of the widget.
Widget allows you to do the actual shopping. Preparation for shopping (preparing shopping list) is done in the full app.
Q. Can I do shopping on Apple Watch?
A. Yes. You need WatchOS version 2.0+ and iOS version 9+ and you can do shopping on your Apple Watch. Preparation of shopping list (what to buy) is done on your iPad/iPhone. The shopping itself can be done not only on your iPad/iPhone, but also on your Apple Watch, or using app widget.
Q. How to backup my data?
In most cases, you have your data in iCloud and this serves as enough level of backup, so when you delete and reinstall the app - wait a bit and it will download your data from iCloud. However, for safer level of backup you can backup your data as a single file to your computer using iTunes File Sharing.
How to backup Shopping List list data file to computer:
1) Connect your device to iTunes on your computer (connect by usb cable).
2) in iTunes, select your device on the top-left
3) choose "Apps" category in the left
4) scroll down the apps screen until the "File Sharing" section
5) in the file sharing “Apps” section find Shopping List app and select it
6) in the file sharing "Documents" section now you should see ShoppingList.sqlite file
7) drag-and-drop ShoppingList.sqlite file from the "Documents" section to your computer desktop. Now you have the backup file on your desktop.
How to restore Shopping List list data file from computer to device:
1) ensure that the app is not running. To do that, press Home button twice - iPhone displays all running apps. If you see Shopping List app there - swipe it up - it stops running.
2) connect your device to computer and drag-n-drop the ShoppingList.sqlite file from computer to device. Do it similarly as you did in 1-7 steps above.
Q. How to transfer data from free app version to the paid app?
A. You can send your shopping list from the free version to the full version by following steps below:
1) in the free version tap "i" icon and then tap "Send shopping list to full version", then tap "Send".
2) The full app version opens and imports data. If it asks what to do with current shopping - answer any as it will add all new products as selected for shopping.
Q. What are the differences between free and full versions of the app?
A. The main advantages and differences of full version are:
* No advertisements
* More (120) built-in product icons
* Shopping list send and import by email
* iMessage and SMS support
* AirPrint support
* Product edit landscape mode for iPhone
Q. How to organise multiple lists for different stores?
A. Current app vision suggests all stores in one place: if you need multiple stores, you can dedicate first 10 aisles (categories) for one shop, next 5 aisles - for another, and so on. Aisle order is adjustable.
Q. Can I adjust print formatting?
A. You can adjust print and email formatting in the app settings. Please, open standard "Settings" app, then find and tap "Shopping List" section in it. You can adjust printing and/or email formatting as ON/OFF.
Q. Can I download more product icons?
A. The app (full version) contains 120 built-in pictures library. More built-in pictures are not available, but you can add images from the internet:
1) Google-search for images by adding keyword "transparent", for example: "chicken image transparent".
2) When you see a picture in your browser on your iPad, tap and hold the picture. There appears a menu and you tap "Save" in it. The picture is saved in your photo library.
3) Now you can use the picture in the app from your photo library.
If you browse your pictures on your Mac, you can create a photo album in your iPhoto program and then sync photos to device.
More options:
* You can take your own picture (using camera or from photo library).
* You can use similar built-in picture (for example, use picture of bunch of vegetables for any produce product).
Q. Can I adjust product icons that they all (built-in and custom) are rectangular?
A. You can adjust icon appearance in the app settings:
1) Open standard Settings app and find Shopping List section in it.
2) Turn icon framing as ON.
Q. The search feature allows selecting only one product at a time after searching. Can I select multiple products from the filtered list?
A. Yes, you can adjust that in the app settings. Please, open standard Settings app, open Shopping List section in it. In section "Search" switch "Multiple Selection" to "ON". Now the list will stay filtered until you remove filter by tapping "x" button and you can select multiple products from the filtered list.
