FAQ for Photo Booth apps

Q. What is the general app usage workflow?

A. The general usage instructions for iPad app are as follows:
1) Choose a photo (by sliding screen left and right or by tapping "Photo Library" button at the top-left corner).
2) Tap "Edit". The photo enters editing mode and first theme picture appears.
3) Tap small button in the bottom-right corner. 6 more theme pictures appear. Slide them left-right (or up-down) and tap a desired picture.
4) After positioning your picture on the photo, tap checkmark button (at center of the bottom) to freeze it. Now you can add another picture on the same photo by tapping button at bottom-right corner again.
5) When finished, tap "Save".
6) Tap share button at the left-bottom corner and share photo with your friends.
7) Now you can do another photo by starting from step 1.

The general usage instructions for iPhone app are as follows:
1) On open, the app opens camera and displays first theme picture live on it.
2) Tap small button in the bottom-right corner. 6 more theme pictures appear. Slide them left-right (or up-down) and tap a desired picture.
3) After positioning your picture on the camera, tap photo button to take a photo. The app takes a photo with theme picture on it and displays the result to you.
4) Now you can edit the made photo or other photos by following the same steps as for iPad app described above.

Q. How to delete photos made by the app?

A. The app saves photos to your camera roll. You can perform usual photo management actions (delete, share, group to albums, etc) using standard Photos app.

Q. How to turn off background music?

A. The sound of the app is controlled together with your device sound, so you can mute it conveniently using device controls.

Q. In iOS4-iOS5, the app asks access to my location. Why is it required?

A. Photos contain location information, so if you disable location access - the app will not be able to access your photos and you may experience limited functionality. If you have previously restricted access and now want to enable it - for most users we recommend just to delete and redownload the app (redownload is free). On first launch the app will ask your permission again and there you can allow it.
Alternate way to enable app access to photos is described below.

Q. On first launch, I have accidentally disabled app access to my photos. How should I restore the access?

A. For most users we recommend just to delete and redownload the app (redownload is free). On first launch the app will ask your permission again and there you can allow it.

More advanced way is to allow access to your photos in your device settings:

In iOS6:
1) Open standard "Settings" app (it is already on your device).
2) Go to "Privacy" section and then tap section "Photos".
3) Find the app by its name and turn access as "ON".

In iOS5 and earlier:
1) Open standard "Settings" app (it is already on your device).
2) Go to "Location" section.
3) Find the app by its name and turn access as "ON". As photos contain location information, the location access is required.

Now you will need to close the photo booth app in multitasking and launch it again.
How to close app in multitasking: 1) tap Home button twice - bottom line of apps appears, 2) in the bottom line - find, tap and hold the app until it starts jiggling, 3) tap minus sign on the app.
